As part of its leading role in supporting and developing scientific research, the International Conference of the Egyptian Society of Electron Microscopy was held under the theme “The Role of Electron Microscopy in Enlightening the Invisible.” The event was organized by the Egyptian Society of Electron Microscopy in collaboration with Theodor Bilharz Research Institute (TBRI), Tanta University, and Assiut University.

In a renewed affirmation of its leading position and global pioneering in endemic disease research, Theodor Bilharz Research Institute, one of the most prestigious research centers in the Middle East specializing in liver, gastrointestinal, and schistosomiasis diseases, participated in the scientific conference organized by the University of Tübingen, Germany, titled "200 Years Theodor Bilharz Schistosomiasis Research in Germany and Beyond," held from October 8 to 10, in celebration of the 200th anniversary of the birth of the German scientist Theodor Maximilian Bilharz, the discoverer of schistosomiasis worms in Egypt.

Theodor Bilharz Research Institute (TBRI) participates in organizing the Egyptian Society of Electron Microscopy Conference 2025, in collaboration with Tanta University, and Assiut University. The conference will be held from October 13 to 15, 2025, at Dr. Ahmed El-Garem Hall, Theodor Bilharz Research Institute.

In line with Theodor Bilharz Research Institute’s strategy and its pioneering role in fostering international partnerships and the exchange of medical and scientific expertise, and under the guidance of Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdel Aziz, Director of the Institute and Chairman of the Board, the Institute actively participated in the International Conference on Cross-Border Joint Prevention and Control Technologies for Major Tropical Diseases. The event was organized by the National Institute of Parasitic Diseases – Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC) in Shanghai, People’s Republic of China.

Theodor Bilharz Research Institute (TBRI), headed by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abdel Aziz, Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors, participated as a guest and honorary sponsor in the fourth edition of the “Diabesity 2025” Conference, held in the presence of leading scientific figures and experts in clinical nutrition, diabetes, and chronic diseases. During the conference, TBRI was honored in recognition of its continued contribution and support to scientific and research activities. The commemorative shield was received on behalf of the Director by Dr. Marwa Abdel Ghany, Deputy Head of the Clinical Nutrition Unit and research staff Member at the Institute, amid wide acclaim for the Institute’s distinguished scientific standing.
