Prof. Eman Ahmed El-Wakil (PhD, MSc) is Professor of Medicinal Chemistry at Theodor Bilharz Research Institute. Education: BSc (Al-Azhar Univ.), MSc Organic/Natural Products Chem (Helwan Univ.), PhD (Ain Shams Univ.). Leadership: Deputy Head of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology & Medicinal Chemistry Dept.; Head of Medicinal Chemistry Lab; Chairperson of Medicinal Chemistry Laboratory Council. Research: Expertise in Medicinal/Aromatic Plants Chemistry, Natural Product isolation/purification/structural elucidation from bioactive botanicals. Bioevaluation: Anti-tumor (cell lines), antioxidant, antimicrobial, hepatoprotective assessment of extracts/fractions/compounds. Contributions: Niclosamide analysis (MOH); Participation in 5 research projects; Supervision of 2 PhD & 1 MSc theses; Peer review for Food Bioscience and J App Pharm Sci; Approximately 100 scientific publications advancing drug discovery
