Biography
Dr. Ghareeb received his BSc degree in chemistry from the Faculty of Science, Banha University in 2002, and his MSc degree in organic chemistry from the Faculty of Science, Ain Shams University in 2011, before gaining his PhD in organic chemistry from the Faculty of Science, Ain Shams University in 2014. Later, in February 2020, Dr. Ghareeb was promoted to associate professorship in Natural Product Chemistry. His work covers natural products chemistry including isolation of bioactive secondary metabolites from medicinal plants, and marine organisms. He published more than 113 papers most of them are in international journals. He has supervised 16 master’s and doctoral theses. He also acted as a coordinator for a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between the Theodor Bilharz Research Institute and the University of Jordan, Amman, Jordan. Recently, his name was listed in the world’s top 2% scientist’s list according to the Stanford University ranking, USA for the years 2023 & 2024.
