The Theodor Bilharz Research Institute announces the opening of applications for a supplementary batch of doctors assigned by the Ministry of Health, Class of 2022, for secondment to various clinical laboratory departments within the Institute. This is subject to the following eligibility criteria and application procedures: Eligibility Criteria for the Supplementary Secondment – Class of 2022 Graduate Status: The applicant must be a graduate of a Faculty of Medicine, Class of 2022 only.

On the sidelines of the 13th Scientific Meeting on Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Prof. Ahmed Abdel Aziz, Director of Theodor Bilharz Research Institute, honored the team of the Media Office of the Institute, in recognition of their outstanding contributions to presenting an honorable media image of the Institute's activities through various media. The recognition included Ms. Mai Mohammed Reda and Mr. Ahmed Magdy, in recognition of their effective role in providing integrated media services, including the production of professional videos documenting the Institute's activities, artistic designs and media propaganda, and the preparation and dissemination of news and reports through various media, digital platforms and social media,which contributed to showing the Institute distinctive image worthy of its position as a leading research institution.

Under the patronage of H.E. Prof. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and within the framework of the scientific cooperation agreement between Theodor Bilharz Research Institute (TBRI), Beaujon Hospital, Paris Cité University, and Kasr Al-Ainy Faculty of Medicine – Cairo University, TBRI hosted the 13th Egyptian-French Scientific Meeting in Hepatogastroenterology on Sunday, June 22, 2025, in “Ahmed El-Garim Hall” at the Institute. In his opening remarks, Prof. Ahmed Abdel Aziz, Director of TBRI, emphasized that the institute’s continued organization of this meeting for the thirteenth consecutive year reflects its commitment to being a leading scientific platform for integrated research and specialized medical training.

Within the framework of the strategy of Theodor Bilharz Research Institute and its pioneering role in supporting international cooperation and exchanging research and medical expertise across all scientific fields—and in accordance with the directives of Dr. Ahmed Abdel Aziz, Director of the Institute, to open up to international experiences and strengthen scientific partnerships with global research institutions—the institute made a distinguished participation in the annual conference for exchanging expertise between China and Africa in the field of tropical disease control, which was held in the People's Republic of China from June 11 to 14, 2025, under the title: "China–Africa Technical Exchange Conference on Tropical Diseases Control and Prevention" The institute was represented at this important scientific forum by Dr. Hagar Fathy Abdel Maksoud, Assistant Professor in the Department of Parasitology at the institute, where she delivered
