Advanced Practical Training and Applied Integration… Workshops at the 2026 Theodore Bilharz Research Institute Conference Reflect a Comprehensive Hands-On Scientific Experience

As part of the commitment of  Theodore Bilharz Research Institute to supporting applied practice and enhancing the efficiency of medical and research professionals, the activities of the 2026 Annual Conference witnessed the organization of a distinguished series of specialized workshops designed to provide a comprehensive hands-on training experience aligned with the latest scientific developments.

On the sidelines of the conference, the institute organized 13 specialized training workshops, delivered by professors and members of the research faculty from the institute’s various departments. These workshops aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, equipping participants with modern skills that support their professional performance across different specialties.

The workshops addressed a wide range of vital fields, including the latest techniques in bariatric surgery and advanced surgical interventions, in addition to training on the use of ultrasound in anesthesia and precise interventional procedures, as well as echocardiography applications in intensive care units.

The training topics also extended to include molecular biology techniques, methods for handling and managing biological samples in accordance with quality standards, as well as the latest approaches in environmental analysis and measuring pollutants and their impact on human health.

In addition, the workshops covered training on diagnosing parasitic diseases using both conventional and modern techniques, along with histopathology and cytology examination methods, the role of balanced nutrition in treating health disorders, and the therapeutic applications of natural compounds.

These workshops received strong participation due to the direct practical training they provided. They reflected the institute’s direction toward presenting an integrated scientific model that combines theoretical preparation with practical training, while enhancing the readiness of medical and research professionals to keep pace with the rapid advancements across various fields.

This experience confirms that building competence is not achieved through knowledge alone, but through application, practice, and training that truly make the difference.
