·       Objective

The purpose of this MoU is to promote cooperation and the advancement of academic and research capabilities and educational exchange between TBRI, and NIPD.

·       Forms of Cooperation

Within the mutual interests in parasitic diseases control and research at the national and regional levels amongst different specialities and departments of both parties, the following general forms of cooperation will be implemented:

-             Joint research projects and activities including exchange of research results and scientific visits

-             Exchange of researchers for the purpose of conducting research work, adoption of new scientific methods, delivering lectures, developing joint projects.

-             Exchange of scientific and technological information and publications for training and scientific research purposes.

-             Organization and participation in joint academic meetings and conferences, symposia, seminars, workshops, academic meetings etc..

-             Joint use of research and development facilities and scientific equipment.

-             Joint research laboratory provision or pilot region/base establishment by both parties.

-             Partial resource sharing in accordance with national regulations and project requirements.

-             Technology transfer and collaborative development in specific areas of parasitic diseases.

·       Duration of the MOU

This MOU is valid for five years since the day of signing the memorandum, possibly renewable after approval of both parties.
