Theodor Bilharz Research Institute Participates in the organization of the 14th Egyptian-French Meeting on Hepatogastroentrology

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Abdel Aziz Konsowa, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Theodor Bilharz Research Institute is participating in the activities of the 14th Egyptian-French Scientific Meeting on Hepatogastroenterology.

This participation comes within the framework of the joint scientific cooperation agreement between  Theodor Bilharz Research Institute, Kasr Al-Ainy Faculty of Medicine – Cairo University, Université Paris Cité, and Beaujon Hospital.

The collaboration has been coordinated on behalf of the Institute by Professor Dr. Ahmed El-Raai, Professor of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. Recently, this partnership has resulted in providing distinguished training opportunities for a number of the Institute’s young physicians in leading French hospitals, across multiple specialties including gastroenterology, microbiology, and pathology. This collaboration has also been crowned by the acceptance of the Egyptian-French “Imhotep” project, funded by the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology and the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The meeting is scheduled to be held this year on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at 9:00 AM, in the Grand Celebration Hall of Kasr Al-Ainy Faculty of Medicine.

The opening session will be attended by Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdel Aziz, Director of Theodor Bilharz Research Institute; Professor Dr. Hossam Salah, Dean of Kasr Al-Ainy Faculty of Medicine; and Dr. Karim Saeed, Scientific Attaché of the French Embassy in Cairo.
