Three scientists from the Theodor Bilharz Research Institute have been named among the world's most influential scientists, according to the Stanford 2026 ranking
Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Aziz, Acting Director and Chairman of the Board of the Theodor Bilharz Research Institute (TBRI), announced the inclusion of three of the Institute’s research staff members in the list of the world’s most influential scientists for 2026, according to the Stanford University ranking. The listed scientists are: Prof. Dr. El-Sayed Saleh Abdel-Hameed, Professor of Medicinal Chemistry and Acting Head of the Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Medicinal Chemistry Division (recognized for the fifth time); Prof. Dr. Mosad Ahmed Ghareeb, Professor in the Medicinal Chemistry Department, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Medicinal Chemistry Division (recognized for the fourth consecutive year); and Prof. Dr. Amina Mohamed Ibrahim, Professor in the Medical Malacology Department, Environmental Research and Medical Malacology Division.
The inclusion of the Institute’s scientists in the list of the top 2% of the world’s most influential scientists based on the 2026 Stanford University ranking serves as a testament to the value of their research contributions and the impact of their scientific output. It also reflects the caliber of the Institute’s distinguished research personnel, who continue to deliver rigorous scientific contributions and actively enrich the scientific research landscape at both national and international levels.
