Call for AI-Based Medical and Research Projects 
This call aims to support research projects utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) techniques to develop innovative solutions for priority medical and research problems. This includes early disease or complication prediction, 
diagnostic support, risk factor identification, as well as analyzing climate and environmental data, predicting climate variations, and studying the impact of climate change on health and disease prevalence. 
* Project Duration: Maximum of three (3) years. 
* Project Budget: Up to 300,000 EGP. 
The following items should be taken into account in the submitted proposals:

- The proposal is a research project in one of the above-mentioned fields. 

- Projects will be evaluated and selected based on several key criteria, including the originality and clarity of the project idea, the level of innovation it demonstrates, and its potential for practical application.

- The total budget of the project must not exceed maximum funding limit specified for the respective research call.

- The budget is to be disbursed in three unequal installments: 
* The first installment: up to a maximum of 60% of the total budget. 
* The second and third installments: 40% of the total budget.

- The Principal Investigator must not have any ongoing research projects at the time of submission.

- A researcher may only submit one research proposal, whether as a Principal Investigator (PI) or a Co-PI.

- A researcher may not be involved in more than three ongoing research projects at the same time.

- Project objectives, work plan, and expected outcomes must align proportionately with the project size and requested budget. 

 -  An official paper copy of the proposal must be submitted, including approvals from both the Department and Division Councils.

-  Submissions must be completed online via the Institute's website, along with submitting the approved paper copy. 
The closing date for proposal submission is December 30, 2026.
