In a move aimed at fostering scientific awareness among the youth and embracing initiatives that build a technology-savvy generation, Theodor Bilharz Research Institute has joined the "Children's University" program. This initiative a prominent platform for scientific research and technology allows children to gain early exposure to various fields of scientific knowledge and discover their creative talents.

The institute’s participation aligns with government directives to raise scientific awareness among children, encourage positive thinking, and create non-traditional educational environments. These efforts help children discover their interests and capabilities at an early stage, contributing to the development of a knowledgeable generation capable of leading and shaping the future.

The "Children's University" program is a pioneering project in informal university-level education, championed by the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology to nurture scientific talent. It supports innovators and creative minds during their formative years by providing rich, simplified scientific experiences that help children develop their abilities and hone their talents, while clearly and simply connecting them to the world of modern science.

Theodor Bilharz Research Institute brings its diverse scientific, research, and medical expertise to this practical program. Leveraging its distinguished role in medical and applied research, the institute presents scientific knowledge in an engaging, accessible manner, highlighting the vital importance of scientific research in serving society and improving human life. 

In this context, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abdel Aziz, Director of Theodor Bilharz Research Institute, highlighted the Institute’s contribution to the "Children's University" program. This initiative reflects the Institute's commitment to supporting science and knowledge within the community and its dedication to activities that foster human development and capabilities from an early age. He explained that investing in children's minds and discovering their scientific talents at an early stage is a crucial pathway for preparing a new generation of experts and innovators. He emphasized the importance of presenting science in a simple, interactive manner that encourages children to ask questions and nurtures their scientific curiosity.

Participation in the program places the Institute within an exclusive network comprising 44 public and private universities and research institutes. This collaboration creates opportunities for synergy among scientific institutions to support the program and deliver diverse scientific experiences for children across various fields.

The program is expected to strengthen the connection between children and scientific institutions, offering them exposure to various types of scientific work, research, and disciplines.
