As part of Theodor Bilharz Research Institute’s ongoing efforts to promote interdisciplinary integration across medical specialties, the Institute organized a joint scientific day bringing together the Clinical Nutrition Unit and the Department of Hepatogastroenterology. The event aimed to highlight the vital role of clinical nutrition in patient care and the importance of incorporating early nutritional assessment and intervention into treatment plans, thereby contributing to improved quality of healthcare services provided to patients.

The Theodor Bilharz Research Institute participates in World Patient Safety Day activities throughout a full week, raising awareness of patient safety through a range of educational instructions and guidance on safe healthcare practices.

As part of the Theodor Bilharz Research Institute’s participation in World Patient Safety Day, the Institute presents information and guidelines to raise awareness about the importance of safe medication use—specifically by avoiding medication errors and minimizing harm caused by improper use.

Prof. Ahmed Abdelaziz, Acting Director of the Theodor Bilharz Research Institute and Chairman of the Board, extends his sincere congratulations to Prof. Omar Sherif Omar, Professor at Kasr Al Ainy Faculty of Medicine, on the decision of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research to renew his confidence in him and reassign him as Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of University Hospitals.
